The job of Elementaly school is tough

Fortunately last Tuesday I could visit Elementary School in Shinagawa and observe the English class with my university professor and other students. We could watch how the elementally school's English activity were . This was the first experience for me. I enjoyed it very much.
In Japan just recently English lessons of 5 and 6 year's started formally at Elementally school . Elementary school teachers are obliged to control the English class with ALT. HRT(home room teacher) have to spend a lot of time for preparing the class. On top of that they have to use English. I guess that they didn't think that their English skill would be needed at school. On the day we visited they continued the meeting until late after the English lesson was finished. It must be hard work. I think that job as Elementally School teacher is very tough now.

Lake Megami

I went to Tateshina, Nagano-prefecture. I enjyoed the changing the color of Autumn leaves. I stayed at small pension near Lake Megami. Megami means female god. Autumn had already came in the mountain, before I knew. Near hear there is a ski resort called "Shirakaba". I had came here many times during ski season. The pension was decorated with halloween ornament. You can see pumpkins in front of the pension. These pictures were taken Oct. 12, 2008.
